Isaac planted fields in that place. And that year he gathered a great harvest. The Lord blessed him very much.


The Lord gave us eyes to see with and ears to hear with—\{use them\}!


Listen! Wisdom and Understanding\par are calling for you to listen.\par


Listen and pay attention.\par The Lord has spoken to you.\par Don’t be proud.\par


The Lord has sent his servants, the prophets, to you over and over again. But you have not listened to them. You have not paid any attention to them.


You people that hear me, listen!


But what is the seed that fell on the good ground? That seed is like the person that hears the teaching and understands it. That person grows and makes fruit, sometimes 100 times more, sometimes 60 times more, and sometimes 30 times more.”


Other people are like the seed planted on the good ground. They hear the teaching and accept it. Then they grow and make fruit—sometimes 30 times more, sometimes 60 times more, and sometimes 100 times more.”


You people that hear me, listen!


Some other seed fell on good ground. In the good ground, the seed began to grow. It grew and made grain. Some plants had 30 grains, other plants had 60 grains, and some had 100 grains.”


It is worth nothing. You can’t even use it for soil or for plant food. People throw it away.


And what is the seed that fell on the good ground? That is like the people that hear God’s teaching with a good, honest heart. They obey God’s teaching and patiently make good fruit.


Some seed fell among thorny weeds. This seed grew, but later the weeds stopped the good plants from growing.


God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would do good things. God had already planned those good things for us. God had planned for us to live our lives doing those good things.


that you will use these things to live in a way that brings honor to the Lord and pleases him in every way;\par that you will do all kinds of good things and grow in the knowledge of God;\par


If a person hears these things, then he should listen to this:


“Every person that hears these things should listen to what the Spirit {\cf2\super [15]} says to the churches. The person that wins the victory will not be hurt by the second death.


“Every person that hears these things should listen to what the Spirit {\cf2\super [14]} says to the churches. To the person that wins the victory I will give the right to eat \{the fruit\} from the tree of life. This tree is in the garden of God.


Every person that hears these things should listen to what the Spirit {\cf2\super [31]} says to the churches.


Every person that hears these things should listen to what the Spirit {\cf2\super [26]} says to the churches.
