And I will encompass my house with them that serve me in war, going and returning, and the oppressor shall no more pass through them: for now I have seen with my eyes.


7 But the men wondered, saying: What manner of man is this, for the winds and the sea obey him?


If you had known me, you would without doubt have known my Father also: and from henceforth you shall know him, and you have seen him.


1 Now they have heard of thee that thou teachest those Jews, who are among the Gentiles, to depart from Moses: saying, that they ought not to circumcise their children, nor walk according to the custom.


So desirous of you, we would gladly impart unto you not only the gospel of God, but also our own souls: because you were become most dear unto us.


3 Now therefore, said he, put away strange gods from among you, and incline your hearts to the Lord the God of Israel.


3 And I heard a voice from heaven, saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, who die in the Lord. From henceforth now, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow them.


0 But she said to them: Call me not Noemi, (that is, beautiful,) but call me Mara, (that is, bitter,) for the Almighty hath quite filled me with bitterness.


2 So Noemi came with Ruth the Moabitess her daughter in law, from the land of her sojournment: and returned into Bethlehem, in the beginning of the barley harvest.


1 And he answered her: All hath been told me, that thou hast done to thy mother in law after the death of thy husband: and how thou hast left thy parents, and the land wherein thou wast born, and art come to a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
