And the woman answered him, saying: Of the fruit of the trees that are in paradise we do eat:


1 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and said: I will no more curse the earth for the sake of man: for the imagination and thought of man's heart are prone to evil from his youth: therefore I will no more destroy every living soul as I have done.


9 Because he broke in and stripped the poor: he hath violently taken away a house which he did not build.


1 There was nothing left of his meat, and therefore nothing shall continue of his goods:


0 Burning coals shall fall upon them; thou wilt cast them down into the fire: in miseries they shall not be able to stand.


4 Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol thy justice.

And they have bent their tongue, as a bow, for lies, and not for truth: they have strengthened themselves upon the earth, for they have proceeded from evil to evil, and me they have not known, saith the Lord.


And he answering, said to them: Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you there shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be destroyed.


5 And Jesus answering, said to him: Suffer it to be so now. For so it becometh us to fulfill all justice. Then he suffered him.


1 But now without the law the justice of God is made manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets.


8 Of whose victims they ate the fat, and drank the wine of their drink offerings: let them arise and help you, and protect you in your distress.


7 But the wisdom, that is from above, first indeed is chaste, then peaceable, modest, easy to be persuaded, consenting to the good, full of mercy and good fruits, without judging, without dissimulation.
