2 Behold, God is high in his strength, and none is like him among the lawgivers.


2 The sun ariseth, and they are gathered together: and they shall lie down in their dens.


O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.


The prayer of David. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my supplication. Give ear unto my prayer, which proceedeth not from deceitful lips.


He hath set me in a place of pasture. He hath brought me up, on the water of refreshment:


Thou hast prepared a table before me against them that afflict me. Thou hast anointed my head with oil; and my chalice which inebriateth me, how goodly is it!


4 clothed round about with varieties. After her shall virgins be brought to the king: her neighbours shall be brought to thee.


6 He removed the south wind from heaven: and by his power brought in the southwest wind.


Thy throne is prepared from of old: thou art from everlasting.


The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,


Open ye the gates, and let the just nation, that keepeth the truth, enter in.


4 But behold, I will raise up a nation against you, O house of Israel, saith the Lord the God of hosts; and they shall destroy you from the entrance of Emath, even to the torrent of the desert.


5 Therefore I say to you, be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than the meat: and the body more than the raiment?


And when a very great multitude was gathered together, and hastened out of the cities unto him, he spoke by a similitude.


0 Now we know that thou knowest all things, and thou needest not that any man should ask thee. By this we believe that thou camest forth from God.


5 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, eat; asking no question for conscience' sake.


To him who is such a one, this rebuke is sufficient, which is given by many:


Wherefore he saith: Ascending on high, he led captivity captive; he gave gifts to men.


9 If you know, that he is just, know ye, that every one also, who doth justice, is born of him.


Little children, let no man deceive you. He that doth justice is just, even as he is just.
