O that my sins, whereby I have deserved wrath, and the calamity that I suffer, were weighed in a balance.


The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: he shall not hear the evil hearing. His heart is ready to hope in the Lord:


0 the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.


and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?


7 The just cried, and the Lord heard them: and delivered them out of all their troubles.


8 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a contrite heart: and he will save the humble of spirit.


3 A glad heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by grief of mind the spirit is cast down.


7 The sacrifices of the wicked are abominable, because they are offered of wickedness.


3 Then shalt thou walk confidently in thy way, and thy foot shall not stumble:


The Lord is magnified, for he hath dwelt on high: he hath filled Sion with judgment and justice.


4 The sinners in Sion are afraid, trembling hath seized upon the hypocrites. Which of you can dwell with devouring fire? which of you shall dwell with everlasting burnings?


6 I have put my words in thy mouth, and have protected thee in the shadow of my hand, that thou mightest plant the heavens, and found the earth: and mightest say to Sion: Thou art my people.


Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you.


Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting sactification in the fear of God.
