2 That thy eyes may be open to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, to hear them in all things for which they shall call upon thee.


5 O Lord God of Israel, thou art just: for we remain yet to be saved as at this day. Behold we are before thee in our sin, for there can be no standing before thee in this matter.


And it came to pass in the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king: that wine was before him, and I took up the wine, and gave it to the king: and I was as one languishing away before his face.


1 Forty years didst thou feed them in the desert, and nothing was wanting to them: their garments did not grow old, and their feet were not worn.


5 He struck the rock in the wilderness: and gave them to drink, as out of the great deep.


Thou hast forsaken me, saith the Lord, thou art gone backward: and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will destroy thee: I am weary of entreating thee.


For this gird yourselves with haircloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the Lord is not turned away from us.


5 And I will remember my former covenant, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, in the sight of the Gentiles, to be their God. I am the Lord.


9 Neither will we seek any thing beyond the Jordan, because we have already our possession on the east side thereof,


AND Jesus being come out of the temple, went away. And his disciples came to shew him the buildings of the temple.
