5 But Job hath spoken foolishly, and his words sound not discipline.


Yet if thou wilt arise early to God, and wilt beseech the Almighty:


Alleluia. Give glory to the Lord, and call upon his name: declare his deeds among the Gentiles.


The Lord hath looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there be any that understand and seek God.


My mercy, and my refuge: my support, and my deliverer: My protector, and I have hoped in him: who subdueth my people under me.


From them that resist thy right hand keep me, as the apple of thy eye. Protect me under the shadow of thy wings.


6 The poor shall eat and shall be filled: and they shall praise the Lord that seek him: their hearts shall live for ever and ever.


Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee; when I lift up my hands to thy holy temple.


Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am afflicted: my eye is troubled with wrath, my soul, and my belly:


The Lord help him on his bed of sorrow : thou hast turned all his couch in his sickness.


4 Pour out thy indignation upon them: and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.


Be thou unto me a God, a protector, and a place of strength: that thou mayst make me safe. For thou art my firmament and my refuge.


Cast me not off in the time of old age: when my strength shall fail, do not thou forsake me.


5 And the Lord looked upon the children of Israel, and he knew them.


Now Moses fed the sheep of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Madian: and he drove the flock to the inner parts of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, Horeb.
