Which when it was noised abroad in the ears of the people, the children of Israel offered in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey: and brought the tithe of all things which the ground bringeth forth.


Consider, and hear me, O Lord my God. Enlighten my eyes that I never sleep in death:


1 for thy name's sake, O Lord, thou wilt quicken me in thy justice. Thou wilt bring my soul out of trouble:


My mercy, and my refuge: my support, and my deliverer: My protector, and I have hoped in him: who subdueth my people under me.


Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his helper, whose hope is in the Lord his God:


3 And the Lord thundered from heaven, and the highest gave his voice: hail and coals of fire.


Sacrifice and oblation thou didst not desire; but thou hast pierced ears for me. Burnt offering and sin offering thou didst not require :


1 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me? Hope thou in God, for I will still give praise to him : the salvation of my countenance, and my God.


for there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain.


Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of David. Shall not my soul be subject to God? for from him is my salvation.


For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips shall praise.

5 And the Lord looked upon the children of Israel, and he knew them.


2 Sade. My enemies have chased me and caught me like a bird, without cause.


6 Vau. And he hath broken my teeth one by one, he hath fed me with ashes.
