2 Because they hearkened not to the voice of the Lord their God, but transgressed his covenant: all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded, they would not hear nor do.


6 In gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, whereof there is no number. Arise then, and be doing, and the Lord will be with thee.


8 Saying: You see, that the Lord your God is with you, and hath given you rest round about, and hath delivered all your enemies into your hands, and the land is subdued before the Lord, and be- fore his people.


He built up also with great diligence all the wall that had been broken down, and built towers upon it, and another wall without: and he repaired Mello in the city of David, and made all sorts of arms and shields:


8 Storehouses also of corn, of wine, and of oil, and stalls for all beasts, and folds for cattle.


4 Shall man that is dead, thinkest thou, live again? all the days in which I am now in warfare, I expect until my change come.


Who will grant me that I might know and find him, and come even to his throne?


The wicked have wrought upon my back: they have lengthened their iniquity.


Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption.


The Lord is the God to whom revenge belongeth: the God of revenge hath acted freely.


Lift up thyself, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.


And a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and strength to them that return out of the battle to the gate.


8 In that day the Lord will take away the ornaments of shoes, end little moons,


2 The smith hath wrought with his file, with coals, and with hammers he hath formed it, and hath wrought with the strength of his arm: he shall hunger and faint, he shall drink no water, and shall be weary.


They have broken the eggs of asps, and have woven the webs of spiders: he that shall eat of their eggs, shall die: and that which is brought out, shall be hatched into a basilisk.


6 And I am not troubled, following thee for my pastor, and I have not desired the day of man, thou knowest. That which went out of my lips, hath been right in thy sight.


6 As I live, saith the Lord God: In the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he hath made void, and whose covenant he broke, even in the midst of Babylon shall he die.


If thou judgest them, if thou judgest, son of man, declare to them the abominations of their fathers.


3 All the fowls of the air dwelt upon his ruins, and all the beasts of the field were among his branches.

1 Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting.


1 He that hurteth, let him hurt still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is just, let him be justified still: and he that is holy, let him be sanctified still.
