7 And he said: I pray thee speak to king Solomon (for he cannot deny thee any thing) to give me Abisag the Sunamitess to wife.


3 And the weight of the gold, that was brought to Solomon every year, was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold:


1 For he knoweth the vanity of men, and when he seeth iniquity, doth he not consider it?


1 For my hand shall help him: and my arm shall strengthen him.


Sing joyfully to God, all the earth: serve ye the Lord with gladness. Come in before his presence with exceeding great joy.


The house of the just is very much strength: and in the fruits of the wicked is trouble.


7 The path of the just departeth from evils: he that keepeth his soul keepeth his way.


9 It is better to be humbled with the meek, than to divide spoils with the proud.


5 There is gold, and a multitude of jewels: but the lips of knowledge are a precious vessel.


1 He that nourisheth his servant delicately from his childhood, afterwards shall find him stubborn.


2 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his ways, before he made any thing from the beginning.


6 Behold, I have graven thee in my hands: thy walls are always before my eyes.


5 The aged and honourable, he is the head: and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.


8 And he shall return into his land with much riches: and his heart shall be against the holy covenant, and he shall succeed and shall return into his own land.


1 The day shall come, that thy walls may be built up: in that day shall the law be far removed.


8 And another went by the way of Beth-horon, and the third turned to the way of the border, above the valley of Seboim towards the desert.
