Wisdom is too high for a fool, in the gate he shall not open his mouth.


7 As he that taketh a dog by the ears, so is he that passeth by in anger, and meddleth with another man's quarrel.


For the sine of the land many are the princes thereof: and for the wisdom of a man, and the knowledge of those things that are said, the life of the prince shall be prolonged.


6 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold I will lay a stone in the foundations of Sion, a tried stone, a corner stone, a precious stone, founded in the foundation. He that believeth, let him not hasten.


And he spoke to them many things in parables, saying: Behold the sower went forth to sow.


The Lord delayeth not his promise, as some imagine, but dealeth patiently for your sake, not willing that any should perish, but that all should return to penance.
