5 It is ruin to a man to devour holy ones, and after vows to retract.


1 The horse is prepared for the day of battle: but the Lord giveth safety.


5 By patience a prince shall be appeased, and a soft tongue shall break hardness.


A just king setteth up the land: a covetous man shall destroy it.


2 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.


3 I charge thee before God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who gave testimony under Pontius Pilate, a good confession,


0 Be humbled in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.


And behold the men of that city in the night beset the house wherein I was, intending to kill me, and abused my wife with an incredible fury of lust, so that at last she died.
