2 When Mary therefore was come where Jesus was, seeing him, she fell down at his feet, and saith to him: Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.


4 Who came to the chief priests and the ancients, and said: We have bound ourselves under a great curse that we will eat nothing till we have slain Paul.


5 And I said: Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord answered: I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.


0 And when neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small storm lay on us, all hope of our being saved was now taken away.


2 See then the goodness and the severity of God: towards them indeed that are fallen, the severity; but towards thee, the goodness of God, if thou abide in goodness, otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.


2 If (according to man) I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what doth it profit me, if the dead rise not again? Let us eat and drink, for to morrow we shall die.


And all drank the same spiritual drink; (and they drank of the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.)


Neither let us tempt Christ: as some of them tempted, and perished by the serpents.


2 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off the occasion from them that desire occasion, that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.


For the rest therefore, brethren, we pray and beseech you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us, how you ought to walk, and to please God, so also you would walk, that you may abound the more.


2 That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.


7 But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching may be accomplished, and that all the Gentiles may hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.


For you have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin:


4 And hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death.
