7 For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more careful, of his own will he went unto you.


1 For to me, to live is Christ; and to die is gain.


5 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide, and continue with you all, for your furtherance and joy of faith:


4 And many of the brethren in the Lord, growing confident by my bands, are much more bold to speak the word of God without fear.


6 Some out of charity, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.


9 Receive him therefore with all joy in the Lord; and treat with honour such as he is.


Whereunto I am appointed a preacher and an apostle, (I say the truth, I lie not,) a doctor of the Gentiles in faith and truth.


1 Which is according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which hath been committed to my trust.


5 Meditate upon these things, be wholly in these things: that thy profiting may be manifest to all.


1 Wherein I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and teacher of the Gentiles.


Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine.


3 This testimony is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
