3 And the children of Israel would not destroy Gessuri and Machati: and they have dwelt in the midst of Israel, until this present day.


The land in the midst between these mark ye out into seven parts; and you shall come hither to me, that I may cast lots for you before the Lord your God.


4 And said: The Lord hath delivered all this land into our hands, and all the inhabitants thereof are overthrown with fear.


So the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasses returned, and parted from the children of Israel in Silo, which is in Chanaan, to go into Galaad the land of their possession, which they had obtained according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.


4 And ten princes with him, one of every tribe.
