1 Besides the holocaust of the first day of the month with the sacrifices thereof, and the perpetual holocaust with the accustomed libations. With the same ceremonies you shall offer a burnt sacrifice for a most sweet odour to the Lord.

For all tables were full of vomit and filth, so that there was no more place.


8 You shall do no servile work in the time of this day: because it is a day of propitiation, that the Lord your God may be merciful unto you.


2 And on the same day that the sheaf is consecrated, a lamb without blemish of the first year shall be killed for a holocaust of the Lord.


And they shall be as mighty men, treading under foot the mire of the ways in battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders of horses shall be confounded.

7 On the second day you shall offer twelve calves of the herd, two rams and fourteen lambs of a year old, without blemish :


The tenth day also of this seventh month shall be holy and venerable unto you, and you shall afflict your souls: you shall do no servile work therein.
