When the Lord thy God hath destroyed the nations, whose land he will deliver to thee, and thou shalt possess it, and shalt dwell in the cities and houses thereof :


Who are these, that fly as clouds, and as doves to their windows?

1 There is no idol in Jacob, neither is there an image god to be seen in Israel. The Lord his God is with him, and the sound of the victory of the king in him.


And they made him a supper there: and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that were at table with him.


0 But God said to him: Thou fool, this night do they require thy soul of thee: and whose shall those things be which thou hast provided?


6 Get wisdom, because it is better than gold: and purchase prudence, for it is more precious than silver.


Better is a little with justice, than great revenues with iniquity.


0 And when Balac had killed oxen and sheep, he sent presents to Balaam, and to the princes that were with him.


5 And the ass seeing him, thrust herself close to the wall, and bruised the foot of the rider. But he beat her again:


7 And take this rod in thy hand, wherewith thou shalt do the signs.


I shall see him from the tops of the rocks, and shall consider him from the hills. This people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.


1 And Balac said to Balaam: What is this that thou dost? I sent for thee to curse my enemies: and thou contrariwise blessest them.
