1 And with all these things thou shalt vest Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him. And thou shalt consecrate the hands of them all, and shalt sanctify them, that they may do the office of priesthood unto me.


For a, small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.


Enlarge the place of thy tent, and stretch out the skins of thy tabernacles, spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.


2 And thou shalt eat it as barley bread baked under the ashes: and thou shalt cover it, in their sight, with the dung that cometh out of a man.


Say to the children of Israel: These are the animals which you are to eat of all the living things of the earth.


1 The man that offereth a victim of peace offerings to the Lord, either paying his vows, or offering of his own accord, whether of beeves or of sheep, shall offer it without blemish, that it may be acceptable: there shall be no blemish in it.


4 He that eateth of the sanctified things through ignorance, shall add the fifth part with that which he ate, and shall give it to the priest into the sanctuary.


9 And Moses spoke all these words to all the children of Israel, and the people mourned exceedingly.


5 Moses therefore being very angry, raid to the Lord: Respect not their sacrifices: thou knowest that I have not taken of them so much as a young ass at any time, nor have injured any of them.


Watch ye in the charge of the sanctuary, and in the ministry of the altar: lest indignation rise upon the children of Israel.


He returned on the following day, and found that the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi, was budded: and that the buds swelling it had bloomed blossoms, which spreading the leaves, were formed into almonds.


2 And the children of Israel said to Moses: Behold we are consumed, we all perish.


6 And the redemption of it shall be after one month, for five sicles of silver, by the weight of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols.


1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying :


3 And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee?


James the servant of God, and of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.


And whereas indeed he was the Son of God, he learned obedience by the things which he suffered:


And in fine, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, being lovers of the brotherhood, merciful, modest, humble:


He answered them: Michas hath done such and such things for me, and hath hired me to be his priest.
