And thou shalt tell thy son in that day, saying: This is what the Lord did to me when I came forth out of Egypt.

So the children of Israel laid aside their ornaments by mount Horeb.

4 But I spared them for the sake of my name, lest it should be profaned before the nations, from which I brought them out, in their sight.


But only for his kin, such as are near in blood, that is to say, for his father and for his mother, and for his son, and for his daughter, for his brother also,


2 I will strike them therefore with pestilence, and will consume them: but thee I will make a ruler over a great nation, and a mightier than this is.


3 And Moses said to the Lord: That the Egyptians, from the midst of whom thou hast brought forth this people,


8 When they had done this, Moses and Aaron standing,


9 And had drawn up all the multitude against them to the door of the tabernacle, the glory of the Lord appeared to them all.


4 He will give to your land the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, and your wine, and your oil,


4 I have not eaten of them is my mourning, nor separated them for any uncleanness, nor spent any thing of them in funerals. I have obeyed the voice of the Lord my God, and have done all things as thou hast commanded me.


And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law plainly and clearly,


5 He commanded the Levites, who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord. saying:


And thou shalt bind them as a sign on thy hand, and they shall be and shall move between thy eyes.


1 And they ate on the next day unleavened bread of the corn of the land, and frumenty of the same year.
