1 Fear not therefore: better are you than many sparrows.


But what went you out to see? a man clothed in soft garments? Behold they that are clothed in soft garments, are in the houses of kings.


9 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say: Behold a man that is a glutton and a wine drinker, a friend of publicans and sinners. And wisdom is justified by her children.


5 But while men were asleep, his enemy came and oversowed cockle among the wheat and went his way.


And they lifting up their eyes saw no one but only Jesus.


AT that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying: Who thinkest thou is the greater in the kingdom of heaven?


6 But that servant falling down, besought him, saying: Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.


1 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.


THE kingdom of heaven is like to an householder, who went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.


But about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing, and he saith to them: Why stand you here all the day idle?


9 And he answering, said: I will not. But afterwards, being moved with repentance, he went.


9 And taking him, they cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him.


For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many.


0 And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another.


But the wise took oil in their vessels with the lamps.


0 And he that had received the five talents coming, brought other five talents, saying: Lord, thou didst deliver to me five talents, behold I have gained other five over and above.


You know that after two days shall be the pasch, and the son of man shall be delivered up to be crucified:


There came to him a woman having an alabaster box of precious ointment, and poured it on his head as he was at table.


4 But I say to you not to swear at all, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God:


4 No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one, and love the other: or he will sustain the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.


0 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.


8 And Jesus seeing great multitudes about him, gave orders to pass over the water.


3 And Jesus looking round about, saith to his disciples: How hardly shall they that have riches, enter into the kingdom of God!


7 And they said: Grant to us, that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.


1 But they thought with themselves, saying: If we say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him?


And when you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, fear ye not. For such things must needs be, but the end is not yet.


NOW the feast of the pasch, and of the Azymes was after two days; and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might by some wile lay hold on him, and kill him.


6 And when they had said an hymn, they went forth to the mount of Olives.


3 And he taketh Peter and James and John with him; and he began to fear and to be heavy.


8 Watch ye, and pray that you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.


7 And when evening was come, he cometh with the twelve.


AND again he began to teach by the sea side; and a great multitude was gathered together unto him, so that he went up into a ship, and sat in the sea; and all the multitude was upon the land by the sea side.


9 Now Herodias laid snares for him: and was desirous to put him to death, and could not.


0 When also the seven loaves among four thousand, how many baskets of fragments took you up? And they say to him, Seven.


And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them not to tell any man what things they had seen, till the Son of man shall be risen again from the dead.


9 For every one shall be salted with fire: and every victim shall be salted with salt.


But I will shew you whom you shall fear: fear ye him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you, fear him.


5 But if that servant shall say in his heart: My lord is long a coming; and shall begin to strike the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and to drink and be drunk:


When thou art invited to a wedding, sit not down in the first place, lest perhaps one more honourable than thou be invited by him:


5 And Abraham said to him: Son, remember that thou didst receive good things in thy lifetime, and likewise Lazareth evil things, but now he is comforted; and thou art tormented.


5 For it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.


7 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.

5 As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for my sheep.


2 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to myself.


4 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, and said to him: Who is it of whom he speaketh?


Philip saith to him: Lord, shew us the Father, and it is enough for us.


0 In that day you shall know, that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.


8 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again I leave the world, and I go to the Father.


1 Jesus answered them: Do you now believe?


THE former treatise I made, O Theophilus, of all things which Jesus began to do and to teach,


9 And this is the judgment: because the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the light: for their works were evil.


1 Amen, amen I say to thee, that we speak what we know, and we testify what we have seen, and you receive not our testimony.


3 And no man hath ascended into heaven, but he that descended from heaven, the Son of man who is in heaven.


7 And he hath given him power to do judgment, because he is the Son of man.


4 They said therefore unto him: Lord, give us always this bread.


0 And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth in him, may have life everlasting, and I will raise him up in the last day.


5 For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed.


1 But Jesus, knowing in himself, that his disciples murmured at this, said to them: Doth this scandalize you?


2 Jesus therefore said to them: If God were your Father, you would indeed love me. For from God I proceeded, and came; for I came not of myself, but he sent me:


9 They took up stones therefore to cast at him. But Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.


And said to him: Go, wash in the pool of Siloe, which is interpreted, Sent. He went therefore, and washed, and he came seeing.


But you are a chosen generation, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people: that you may declare his virtues, who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:


And he that sat on the throne, said: Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me: Write, for these words are most faithful and true.
