8 I will open rivers in the high bills, and fountains in the midst of the plains: I will turn the desert into pools of waters, and the impassable land into streams of waters.


2 Let them come, and tell us all things that are to come: tell us the former things what they were: and we will set our heart upon them, and shall know the latter end of them, and tell us the things that are to come.

5 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent into all that country, and brought to him all that were diseased.

2 And they being assembled together with the ancients, taking counsel, gave a great sum of money to the soldiers,


4 At length he appeared to the eleven as they were at table: and he upbraided them with their incredulity and hardness of heart, because they did not believe them who had seen him after he was risen again.


8 And Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.


3 And behold, two of them went, the same day, to a town which was sixty furlongs from Jerusalem, named Emmaus.


2 This Jesus hath God raised again, whereof all we are witnesses.


But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour: that, through the grace of God, he might taste death for all.
