11 9 And seeing a certain fig tree by the way side, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves only, and he saith to it: May no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And immediately the fig tree withered away.

4 And when the time of the fruits drew nigh, he sent his servants to the husbandmen that they might receive the fruits thereof.


Then he saith to his servants: The marriage indeed is ready; but they that were invited were not worthy.


3 And he swore to her: Whatsoever thou shalt ask I will give thee, though it be the half of my kingdom.


And they could not answer him to these things.


7 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures, the things that were concerning him.


4 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak to the multitudes concerning John. What went ye out into the desert to see? a reed shaken with the wind?


7 Wherefore I say to thee: Many sins are forgiven her, because she hath loved much. But to whom less is forgiven, he loveth less.


9 The next day, John saw Jesus coming to him, and he saith: Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who taketh away the sin of the world.


3 And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptize with water, said to me: He upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining upon him, he it is that baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.


7 And immediately his disciples came; and they wondered that he talked with the woman. Yet no man said: What seekest thou? or, why talkest thou with her?


2 The next day, the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea, saw that there was no other ship there but one, and that Jesus had not entered into the ship with his disciples, but that his disciples were gone away alone.


8 Hath any one of the rulers believed in him, or of the Pharisees?


5 He said therefore to them: If he be a sinner, I know not: one thing I know, that whereas I was blind, now I see.


5 Which also our fathers receiving, brought in with Jesus, into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David.
