27 And if thy hand, or thy foot scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee to go into life maimed or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into everlasting fire.

7 But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.


8 You have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

AND rising up from thence, he cometh into the coasts of Judea beyond the Jordan: and the multitudes flock to him again. And as he was accustomed, he taught them again.

For it is written in the law of Moses: Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?


Have we not power to carry about a woman, a sister, as well as the rest of the apostles, and the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?


2 You are not straitened in us, but in your own bowels you are straitened.


8 We have sent also with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel through all the churches.


We are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you towards each other, aboundeth:


4 What shall it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but hath not works? Shall faith be able to save him?
