0 Behold, it is planted: shall it prosper then? shall it not be dried up when the burning wind shall touch it, and shall it not wither in the furrows where it grew?

2 I will assemble and gather together all of thee, O Jacob: I will bring together the remnant of Israel, I will put them together as a flock in the fold, as the sheep in the midst of the sheepcotes, they shall make a tumult by reason of the multitude of men.

For Herod had apprehended John and bound him, and put him into prison, because of Herodias, his brother's wife.


Go ye therefore into the highways; and as many as you shall find, call to the marriage.


0 Then two shall be in the field: one shall be taken, and one shall be left.


What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy those husbandmen; and will give the vineyard to others.


0 Now there were seven brethren; and the first took a wife, and died leaving no issue.

1 And he said to them: Doth a candle come in to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?


1 And they feared exceedingly: and they said one to another: Who is this (thinkest thou) that both wind and sea obey him?


9 I am come to cast fire on the earth; and what will I, but that it be kindled?


8 Take heed therefore how you hear. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given: and whosoever hath not, that also which he thinketh he hath, shall be taken away from him.


3 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you shall have distress: but have confidence, I have overcome the world.
