WHEN Jesus therefore was born in Bethlehem of Juda, in the days of king Herod, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem.


And other some fell upon stony ground, where they had not much earth: and they sprung up immediately, because they had no deepness of earth.


And having a mind to put him to death, he feared the people: because they esteemed him as a prophet.


9 But when Herod was dead, behold an angel of the Lord appeared in sleep to Joseph in Egypt,


Then went out to him Jerusalem and all Judea, and all the country about Jordan:


AND he entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there who had a withered hand.


1 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you; going forth from thence, shake off the dust from your feet for a testimony to them.


1 He hath shewed might in his arm: he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.


1 And his parents went every year to Jerusalem, at the solemn day of the pasch,


2 And when he was twelve years old, they going up into Jerusalem, according to the custom of the feast,


As it was written in the book of the sayings of Isaias the prophet: A voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.


He said therefore to the multitudes that went forth to be baptized by him: Ye offspring of vipers, who hath shewed you to flee from the wrath to come?


8 Take heed therefore how you hear. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given: and whosoever hath not, that also which he thinketh he hath, shall be taken away from him.


3 But after they were come to Jesus, when they saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.


And when the chief steward had tasted the water made wine, and knew not whence it was, but the waiters knew who had drawn the water; the chief steward calleth the bridegroom,


0 The Jews then said: Six and forty years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?


3 And the pasch of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.


8 He that speaketh of himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, he is true, and there is no injustice in him.


1 The Jews therefore sought him on the festival day, and said: Where is he?


3 Yet no man spoke openly of him, for fear of the Jews.


2 Beginning from the baptism of John, until the day wherein he was taken up from us, one of these must be made a witness with us of his resurrection.


4 So also the Lord ordained that they who preach the gospel, should live by the gospel.


But because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privately to spy our liberty, which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into servitude.
