Upon what are its bases grounded? or who laid the corner stone thereof,


O Lord our Lord, how admirable is thy name in all the earth!


9 Their roaring like that of a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea they shall roar, and take hold of the prey, and they shall keep fast hold of it, and there shall be none to deliver it.


Shall not I that make others to bring forth children, myself bring forth, saith the Lord? shall I, that give generation to others, be barren, saith the Lord thy God?


1 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold there was as it were a great statue: this statue, which was great and high, tall of stature, stood before thee, and the look thereof was terrible.


Then was the king's countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him: and the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees struck one against the other.


5 For he that will save his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall find it.


4 Jesus answering, said to them: I also will ask you one word, which if you shall tell me, I will also tell you by what authority I do these things.


0 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.


2 And he said to Jesus: Lord, remember me when thou shalt come into thy kingdom.


9 But one of them, named Caiphas, being the high priest that year, said to them: You know nothing.


5 Jesus therefore said to them: Yet a little while, the light is among you. Walk whilst you have the light, that the darkness overtake you not. And he that walketh in darkness, knoweth not whither he goeth.


6 Whilst you have the light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light. These things Jesus spoke; and he went away, and hid himself from them.


2 And when they had heard of the resurrection of the dead, some indeed mocked, but others said: We will hear thee again concerning this matter.


For, whereas there is among you envying and contention, are you not carnal, and walk according to man ?


For we preach not ourselves, but Jesus Christ our Lord; and ourselves your servants through Jesus.


3 And he said to them: Why do ye these kinds of things, which I hear, very wicked things, from all the people?
