But when the king had heard of it, he was angry, and sending his armies, he destroyed those murderers, and burnt their city.


6 And there came fear upon all, and they talked among themselves, saying: What word is this, for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they go out?


8 Who were come to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases. And they that were troubled with unclean spirits, were cured.


0 And he, lifting up his eyes on his disciples, said: Blessed are ye poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.


5 And the pasch of the Jews was at hand; and many from the country went up to Jerusalem, before the pasch to purify themselves.


When he had said these things, he himself stayed in Galilee.

7 For of a truth there assembled together in this city against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,


1 And they indeed went from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were accounted worthy to suffer reproach for the name of Jesus.


And devout men took order for Stephen's funeral, and made great mourning over him.


I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom:
