2 The sun ariseth, and they are gathered together: and they shall lie down in their dens.


What manner of one is thy beloved of the beloved, O thou most beautiful among women? what manner of one is thy beloved of the beloved, that thou hast so adjured us?


Open ye the gates, and let the just nation, that keepeth the truth, enter in.


For as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts.


Then the nobles, the magistrates, and the judges, the captains, and rulers, and the great men that were placed in authority, and all the princes of the provinces, were gathered together to come to the dedication of the statue, which king Nabuchodonosor had set up. And I will strengthen the house of Juda, and save the house of Joseph: and I will bring them back again, because I will have mercy on them: and they shall be as they were when I had cast them off, for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.


I will whistle for them, and I will gather them together, because I have redeemed them: and I will multiply them as they were multiplied before.


6 For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?


7 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to grow sorrowful and to be sad.


1 But he spoke the more vehemently: Although I should die together with thee, I will not deny thee. And in like manner also said they all.


3 And he taketh Peter and James and John with him; and he began to fear and to be heavy.


1 In like manner also the chief priests mocking, said with the scribes one to another: He saved others; himself he cannot save.


And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them not to tell any man what things they had seen, till the Son of man shall be risen again from the dead.


NOW the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the pasch, was at hand.


4 And there was also a strife amongst them, which of them should seem to be the greater.


5 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son; hear him.


2 Yet now he hath reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unspotted, and blameless before him:


8 And you are now risen up against my father's house, and have killed his sons seventy men upon one stone, and have made Abimelech the son of his handmaid king over the inhabitants of Sichem, because he is your brother:
