He that walketh sincerely, walketh confidently: but he that perverteth his ways, shall be manifest.

8 The lot suppresseth contentions, and determineth even between the mighty.

A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather. A time to embrace, and a time to be far from embraces.


1 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and will strengthen him with thy girdle, and will give thy power into his hand: and he shall be as a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Juda.


9 That say: Let him make haste, and let his work come quickly, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel come, that we may know it.


6 And the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and the holy God shall be sanctified in justice.


And behind the door, and behind the post thou best set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself near me, and hast received an adulterer: thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made a covenant with them: thou hast loved their bed with open hand.


And now they have sinned more and more : and they have made to themselves a molten thing of their silver as the likeness of idols: the whole is the work of craftsmen: to these that say: Sacrifice men, ye that adore calves.


These things the Lord shewed to me: and behold the Lord was standing upon a plastered wall, and in his hand a mason's trowel.


Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee: and they be stirred up that shall tear thee, and thou shalt be a spoil to them?


6 If then ye be not able to do so much as the least thing, why are you solicitous for the rest?


7 And he said: Then, father, I beseech thee, that thou wouldst send him to my father's house, for I have five brethren,


And he went, and discoursed with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray him to them.


1 One is the glory of the sun, another the glory of the moon, and another the glory of the stars. For star differeth from star in glory.


And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.


5 For some are already turned aside after Satan.


Calling to mind that faith which is in thee unfeigned, which also dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and I am certain that in thee also.


3 But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse: erring, and driving into error.


4 Is any man sick among you? Let him bring in the priests of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.


2 Dearly beloved, think not strange the burning heat which is to try you, as if some new thing happened to you;


6 And saying: Alas! alas! that great city, which was clothed with fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and was gilt with gold, and precious stones, and pearls.


1 And David came to the two hundred men, who being weary had stayed, and were not able to follow David, and he had ordered them to abide at the torrent Besor: and they came out to meet David, and the people that were with him. And David coming to the people saluted them peaceably.
