And God seeing that the wickedness of men was great on the earth, and that all the thought of their heart was bent upon evil at all times,


1 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and said: I will no more curse the earth for the sake of man: for the imagination and thought of man's heart are prone to evil from his youth: therefore I will no more destroy every living soul as I have done.


2 The stone which the builders rejected; the same is become the head of the corner.


7 Vain is the horse for safety: neither shall he be saved by the abundance of his strength.

9 Know therefore this day, and think in thy heart that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and in the earth beneath, and there is no other.


4 Salute one another with a holy kiss. Grace be to all you, who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.


7 For in one hour are so great riches come to nought; and every shipmaster, and all that sail into the lake, and mariners, and as many as work in the sea, stood afar off.
