Come ye, therefore, let us go down, and there may not understand one another's speech.


2 So I let them go according to the desires of their heart: they shall walk in their own inventions.


9 Whensoever it shall pass through, it shall take you away: because in the morning early it shall pass through, in the day and in the night, and vexation alone shall make you understand what you hear.


1 And the vision of all shall be unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which when they shall deliver to one that is learned, they shall say: Read this: and he shall answer: I cannot, for it is sealed.


4 Therefore behold I will proceed to cause an admiration in this people, by a great and wonderful miracle: for wisdom shall perish from their wise men, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.


Their slain shall be cast forth, and out of their carcasses shall rise a slink: the mountains shall be melted with their blood.


The voice of one crying in the desert: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the wilderness the paths of our God.


And the lintels of the doors were moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.


5 And man shall be brought down, and man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be brought low.


Hear ye the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all ye families of the house of Israel.


4 And in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor and innocent? not in ditches have I found them, but in all places, which I mentioned before.


7 And I took the cup at the hand of the Lord, and I presented it to all the nations to drink of it, to which the Lord sent me:


4 I looked upon the mountains, and behold they trembled: and all the hills were troubled.


9 And if you shall say: why hath the Lord our God done all these things to us? thou shalt say to them: As you have forsaken me, and served a strange god in your own land, so shall you serve strangers in a land that is not your own.


0 Call them reprobate silver, for the Lord hath rejected them.


They shall all proved together to be senseless and foolish: the doctrine of their vanity is wood.


He learned to make widows, and to lay waste their cities: and the land became desolate, and the fulness thereof by the noise of his roaring.


2 Try, I beseech thee, thy servants for ten days, and let pulse be given us to eat, and water to drink:


5 My spirit trembled, I Daniel was affrighted at these things, and the visions of my head troubled me.


And the Lord said to me: What seest thou, Amos? And I said: A mason's trowel. And the Lord said: Behold, I will lay down the trowel in the midst of my people Israel. I will plaster them over no more.


And them that worship the host of heaven upon the tops of houses, and them that adore, and swear by the Lord, and swear by Melchom.


0 But if any thing be revealed to another sitting, let the first hold his peace.


8 Thou shalt cast much seed into the ground, and gather little: because the locusts shall consume all.


4 The man that is nice among you, and very delicate, shall envy his own brother, and his wife, that lieth in his bosom,
