3 And they came in, and possessed it: but they obeyed not thy voice, and they walked not in thy law: and they did not any of those things that thou didst command them to do, and all these evils are come upon them.


Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will bring the sword upon thee: and cut off man and beast out of thee.


6 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:


They have sent thee out even to the border: all the men of thy confederacy have deceived thee: the men of thy peace have prevailed against thee: they that eat with thee shall lay snares under thee: there is no wisdom in him.


And the shipmaster came to him, and said to him: Why art thou fast asleep? rise up, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think of us, that we may not perish.


4 Therefore shall she send messengers to the inheritance of Geth : the houses of lying to deceive the kings of Israel.


2 But they have not known the thoughts of the Lord, and have not understood his counsel: because he hath gathered them together as the hay of the floor.


And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:


1 If they receive it, and open the gates to thee, all the people that are therein, shall be saved, and shall serve thee paying tribute.


5 May the Lord strike thee with a very sore ulcer in the knees and in the legs, and be thou incurable from the sole of the foot to the top of the head.
