8 But thou, O Lord, hast shewn me, and I have known: then thou shewedst me their doings.

6 And when you shall be multiplied, and increase in the land in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more: The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come upon the heart, neither shall they remember it, neither shall it be visited, neither shall that be done any more.


0 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that shall eat the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.


9 And if you shall say: why hath the Lord our God done all these things to us? thou shalt say to them: As you have forsaken me, and served a strange god in your own land, so shall you serve strangers in a land that is not your own.


2 Therefore behold the days shall come, saith the Lord, and it shall no more be called Topeth, nor the valley of the son of Ennom: but the valley of slaughter, and they shall bury in Topeth, because there is no place.


9 And I will deliver thee into their hands, and they shall destroy thy brothel house, and throw down thy stews: and they shall strip thee of thy garments, and shall take away the vessels of thy beauty: and leave thee naked, and full of disgrace.


3 Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast provoked me in all these things: wherefore I also have turned thy ways upon thy head, saith the Lord God, and I have not done according to thy wicked deeds in all thy abominations.


6 As I pleaded against your fathers in the desert of the land of Egypt; even so will I judge you, saith the Lord God.


9 For she multiplied her fornications, remembering the days of her youth, in which she played the harlot in the land of Egypt.


2 Impudently prostituting herself to the children of the Assyrians, the princes, and rulers that came to her, clothed with divers colours, to the horsemen that rode upon horses, and to young men all of great beauty.


In the womb he supplanted his brother: and by his strength he had success with an angel.


And you have turned aside victims into the depth: and I am, the teacher of them all.


2 That through them I may try Israel, whether they will keep the way of the Lord, and walk in it, as their fathers kept it, or not.
