Our soul hath passed through a torrent: perhaps our soul had passed through a water insupportable.


The Lord is my helper and my protector: in him hath my heart confided, and I have been helped. And my flesh hath flourished again, and with my will I will give praise to him.


4 The wicked have drawn out the sword : they have bent their bow. To cast down the poor and needy, to kill the upright of heart.


7 And I have said the word to bring you forth out of the affliction of Egypt, into the land of the Chanaanite, the Hethite, and the Amorrhite, and Pherezite, and Hevite, and Jebusite, to a land that floweth with milk and honey.


0 Nor consented to my counsel, but despised all my reproof.


0 The soul of the wicked desireth evil, he will not have pity on his neighbour.


4 Therefore saith the Lord the God of hosts, the mighty one of Israel: Ah! I will comfort myself over my adversaries: and I will be revenged of my enemies.


6 And the light of the moon shall be se the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days: in the day when the Lord shall bind up the wound of his people, and shall heal the stroke of their wound.


The fool shall no more be called prince: neither shall the deceitful be called great:


But thou Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend:


4 Then shalt thou be delighted in the Lord, and I will lift thee up above the high places of the earth, and will feed thee with the inheritance of Jacob thy father. For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.


Thou hast multiplied the nation, and hast not increased the joy. They shall rejoice before thee, as they that rejoice in the harvest, as conquerors rejoice after taking a prey, when they divide the spoils.


3 Thou that sittest in Libanus, and makest thy nest in the cedars, how hast thou mourned when sorrows came upon thee, as the pains of a woman in labour?


And he went up and down among the lions, and became a lion: and he learned to catch the prey, and to devour men.


He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king: because they would not be converted.


Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know these things? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall in them.


And there shall be like people like priest: and I will visit their ways upon them, and I will repay them their devices.


0 And I will remove far off from you the northern enemy: and I will drive him into a land unpassable, and desert, with his face towards the east sea, and his hinder part towards the utmost sea: and his stench shall ascend, and his rottenness shall go up, because he hath done proudly.


1 Fear not, O land, be glad and rejoice: for the Lord hath done great things.


Seek him that maketh Arcturus, and Orion, and that turneth darkness into morning, and that changeth day into night: that calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.


You that sing to the sound of the psaltery: they have thought themselves to have instruments of music like David;


6 For thou hast kept the statutes of Amri, and all the works of the house of Achab: and thou hast walked according to their wills, that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof a hissing, and you shall bear the reproach of my people.


5 According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt I will shew him wonders.


1 For the stone shall cry out of the wall: and the timber that is between the joints of the building, shall answer.


6 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: Fear not: to Sion: Let not thy hands be weakened.


1 And they answered the angel of the Lord, that stood among the myrtle trees, and said: We have walked through the earth, and behold all the earth is inhabited, and is at rest.


Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I am returned to Sion, and I will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth, and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, The sanctified mountain.


The burden of the word of the Lord in the land of Hadrach, and of Damascus the rest thereof: for the eye of man, and of all the tribes of Israel is the Lord's.


6 And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart;


8 And Agrippa said to Paul: In a little thou persuadest me to become a Christian.


But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, being reproved by the law as transgressors.


2 Seest thou, that faith did co-operate with his works; and by works faith was made perfect?
