9 If you be peaceable men, let one of your brethren be bound in prison: and go ye your ways and carry the corn that you have bought, unto your houses.


And David's anger being exceedingly kindled against that man, he said to Nathan: As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this is a child of death.


8 And it came to pass on the seventh day that the child died: and the servants of David feared to tell him, that the child was dead. For they said: Behold when the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, and he would not hearken to our voice: how much more will he afflict himself if we tell him that the child is dead?


And it came to pass, when Sanaballat, and Tobias, and Gossem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left in it, (though at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates,)


6 And it came to pass when all our enemies heard of it, that all nations which were round about us, were afraid, and were cast down within themselves, for they perceived that this work was the work of God.


8 Which is a very great iniquity, and a denial against the most high God.


1 Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me.


7 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house: neither shalt thou desire his wife, nor his servant, nor his handmaid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is his.


My son, keep my words, and lay up my precepts with thee. Son,


Say to wisdom: Thou art my sister: and call prudence thy friend,


And his word is full of power: neither can any man say to him: Why dost thou so?


And seek the peace of the city, to which I have caused you to be carried away captives; and pray to the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall be your peace.


5 Shout against her, she hath every where given her hand, her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down, for it is the vengeance of the Lord. Take vengeance upon her: as she hath done, so do to her.


5 He that shall copulate with any beast or cattle, dying let him die, the beast also ye shall kill.


And he shall pray for him before the Lord, and he shall have forgiveness for every thing in doing of which he hath sinned.


8 Moses therefore commanded Eleazar the priest, and Josue the son of Nun, and the princes of the families of all the tribes of Israel, and said to them:


6 You hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the heaven and of the earth: but how is it that you do not discern this time?


1 Even unto this hour we both hunger and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no fixed abode;


But when the goodness and kindness of God our Savior appeared:


3 Let us go forth therefore to him without the camp, bearing his reproach.


8 My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue, but in deed, and in truth.


7 And he measured the wall thereof an hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, which is of an angel.
