And answering them, he said: Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fall into a pit, and will not immediately draw him out, on the sabbath day?


Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven.

8 And he said: Wherefore doth my lord persecute his servant? What have I done? or what evil is there in my hand?


6 And they made answer to Josue, and said: All that thou hast commanded us we will do; and whithersoever thou shalt send us, we will go.


4 And you shall wash your garments the seventh day, and being purified, you shall afterwards enter into the camp.


And the people wanting water, came together against Moses and Aaron:


7 And they shall take of the ashes of the burning and of the sin offering, and shall pour living waters upon them into a vessel.


And when the people cried to Moses, Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire was swallowed up.


2 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:


8 And all mount Sinai was on a smoke: because the Lord was come down upon it in fire, and the smoke arose from it as out of a furnace: and all the mount was terrible.


4 And Moses came down from the mount to the people, and sanctified them. And when they had washed their garments,


5 But he cried to the Lord, and he shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, they were turned into sweetness. There he appointed him ordinances, and judgments, and there he proved him,


And Pharao said: The people of the land is numerous: you see that the multitude is increased: how much more if you give them rest from their works?


So Abraham rising up in the night, saddled his ass: and took with him two young men, and Isaac his son: and when he had cut wood for the holocaust he went his way to the place which God had commanded him.


And he said to his young men: Stay you here with the ass: I and the boy will go with speed as far as yonder, and after we have worshipped, will return to you.
