And the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him: To thy seed will I give this land. And he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.


8 So Abram removing his tent came and dwelt by the vale of Mambre, which is in Hebron: and he built there an altar to the Lord.


3 And behold one that had escaped told Abram the Hebrew, who dwelt in the vale of Mambre the Amorrhite, the brother of Escol, and the brother of Aner: for these had made league with Abram.


Now when these things were done, the word of the Lord came to Abram by a vision, saying: Fear not, Abram, I am thy protector, and thy reward exceeding great.


2 And when he had left oil speaking with him, God went up from Abraham.


2 And they turned themselves from thence, and went their way to Sodom: but Abraham as yet stood before the Lord.


Abraham removed from thence to the south country, and dwelt between Cedes and Sur, and sojourned in Gerara.


And the Lord appeared to him and said: Go not down into Egypt, but stay in the land that I shall tell thee.


8 And the days of Isaac were a hundred and eighty years.


And he said : I will cause thee to increase and multiply, and I will make of thee a multitude of people: and I will give this land to thee, and to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.


2 Wisdom and knowledge are granted to thee: and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and glory, so that none of the kings before thee, nor after thee, shall be like thee.


And the Lord said: Cast it down upon the ground. He cast it down, and it was turned into a serpent: so that Moses fled from it.


0 And delivered him out of all his tribulations: and he gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharao, the king of Egypt; and he appointed him governor over Egypt, and over all his house.


8 (To whom it was said: In Isaac shall thy seed be called.)


1 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the holies by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.


Go round about the city, all ye fighting men, once a day: so shall ye do for six days.
