3 And my covenant shall be in your flesh for a perpetual covenant.


9 And God said to Abraham: Sara thy wife shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name Isaac, and I will establish my covenant with him for a perpetual covenant, and with his seed after him.


4 Where the Lord appeared to him that same might, saying: I am the God of Abraham thy father; do not fear, for I am with thee: I will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.


4 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth: thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and IN THEE and thy seed all the tribes of the earth SHALL BE BLESSED.


8 And I will establish my covenant with thee, and thou shalt enter into the ark, thou and thy sons, and thy wife, and the wives of thy sons with thee.


6 And the bow shall be in the clouds, and I shall see it, and shall remember the everlasting covenant, that was made between God and every living soul of all flesh which is upon the earth.


9 And now begin, and bless the house of thy servant, that it may endure for ever before thee: because thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it, and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.


8 Saying: To thee will I give the land of Chanaan: the lot of your inheritance.

A psalm for Asaph. God hath stood in the congregation of gods: and being in the midst of them he judgeth gods.


7 And I have said the word to bring you forth out of the affliction of Egypt, into the land of the Chanaanite, the Hethite, and the Amorrhite, and Pherezite, and Hevite, and Jebusite, to a land that floweth with milk and honey.


And knowing their sorrow, I am come down to deliver them out of the hands of the Egyptians, and to bring them out of that land into a good and spacious land, into a land that floweth with milk and honey, to the places of the Chanaanite, and Hethite, and Amorrhite, and Pherezite, and Hevite, and Jebusite.


Therefore say to the children of Israel: I am the Lord who will bring you out from the work prison of the Egyptians, and will deliver you from bondage: and redeem you with a high arm, and great judgments.


And Moses told all this to the children of Israel: but they did not hearken to him, for anguish of spirit, and most painful work.


For the young man shall dwell with the virgin, and thy children shall dwell in thee. And the bridegroom shall rejoice over the bride, and thy God shall rejoice over thee.


They shall come with weeping: and I will bring them back in mercy: and I will bring them through the torrents of waters in a right way, and they shall not stumble in it: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.


Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will bring the sword upon thee: and cut off man and beast out of thee.


And on the eighth day the infant shall be circumcised:


3 Afflict him not by might, but fear thy God.


7 I will set my face against you, and you shall fall down before your enemies, and shall be made subject to them that hate you, you shall flee when no man pursueth you.


If it be a man from twenty years old unto sixty years old, he shall give fifty sides of silver, after the weight of the sanctuary:


4 But if you will not hear me, nor do all my commandments,


But with a flood that passeth by, he will make an utter end of the place thereof: and darkness shall pursue his enemies.


0 On these two commandments dependeth the whole law and the prophets.


2 Who being struck sad at that saying, went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.


7 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord increased daily together such as should be saved.


2 Not of works, but of him that calleth, it was said to her: The elder shall serve the younger.


1 For which cause be mindful that you, being heretofore Gentiles in the flesh, who are called uncircumcision by that which is called circumcision in the flesh, made by hands;

Now these things being thus ordered, into the first tabernacle the priests indeed always entered, accomplishing the offices of sacrifices.


And Josue sent away the people, and the children of Israel went every one to his own possession to hold it:
