And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people to the king, and there were found of Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword: and of Juda five hundred thousand fighting men.


5 And you shall come up after him, and he shall come, and shall sit upon my throne, and he shall reign in my stead: and I will appoint him to be ruler over Israel, and over Juda.


0 And Banaias came to the tabernacle of the Lord, and said to him: Thus saith the king: Come forth. And he said: I will not come forth, but here I will die. Banaias brought word back to the king, saying: Thus saith Joab, and thus he answered me.

8 And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses over the works of God in Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.


7 For he shall crush me in a whirlwind, and multiply my wounds even without cause.


0 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied and grew exceedingly strong.


9 He that is impatient, shall suffer damage: and when he shall take away he shall add another thing.


Who can say: My heart is clean, I am pure from sin?


And lest they drink and forget judgments, and pervert the cause of the children of the poor.


3 But these three men, that is, Sidrach, Misach, and Abdenago, fell down bound in the midst of the furnace of burning fire.


Then was the king's countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him: and the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees struck one against the other.


8 For he shall finish his word, and cut it short in justice; because a short word shall the Lord make upon the earth.
