0 I set my bounds around it, and made it bars and doors :


4 They shall meet with darkness in the day, and grope at noonday as in the night.


1 May the glory of the Lord endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.


2 For evils without number have surrounded me; my iniquities have overtaken me, and I was not able to see. They are multiplied above the hairs of my head : and my heart hath forsaken me.


2 The just shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow up like the cedar of Libanus.


Laughter I counted error: and to mirth I said: Why art thou vainly deceived?


3 And I proposed in my mind to seek and search out wisely concerning all things that are done under the sun. This painful occupation hath God given to the children of men, to be exercised therein.


Remember thy Creator in the days of thy youth, before the time of affliction come, and the years draw nigh of which thou shalt say: They please me not:


7 And I said in my heart: God shall judge both the just and the wicked, and then shall be the time of every thing.


8 I said in my heart concerning the sons of men, that God would prove them, and shew them to be like beasts.


I observe the mouth of the king, and the commandments of the oath of God.


Go then, and eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with gladness: because thy works please God.


The islands saw it, and feared, the ends of the earth were astonished, they drew near, and came.


6 For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.


So we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
