It is an honour for a man to separate himself from quarrels: but all fools are meddling with reproaches.


8 The wicked is delivered up for the just: and the unjust for the righteous.


Sanctify yourselves, and be ye holy because I am the Lord your God.


And there were slain four and twenty thousand men.


7 And there shall nothing of that anathema stick to thy hand: that the Lord may turn from the wrath of his fury, and may have mercy on thee, and multiply thee as he swore to thy fathers,


8 But after he is raised to the throne of his kingdom, he shall copy out to himself the Deuteronomy of this law in a volume, taking the copy of the priests of the Levitical tribe,


Because the Lord your God is in the midst of you, and will fight for you against your enemies, to deliver you from danger.


Thou shalt do in like manner with his ass, and with his raiment, and with every thing that is thy brother's, which is lost: if thou find it, neglect it not as pertaining to another.


He is proud, knowing nothing, but sick about questions and strifes of words; from which arise envies, contentions, blasphemies, evil suspicions,


And commanded them, saying: Lay an ambush behind the city: and go not very far from it: and be ye all ready.
