Upon this therefore, at the time when all the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the flute, and the harp, of the sackbut, and the psaltery, of the symphony, and of all kind of music: all the nations, tribes, and languages fell down and adored the golden statue which king Nabuchodonosor had set up.

And Balaam said to Balac: Build me here seven altars, and prepare as many calves, and the same number of rams.


2 And God said to Balaam : Thou shalt not go with them, nor shalt thou curse the people: because it is blessed.


6 The hearer of the words of God hath said, who knoweth the doctrine of the Highest, and seeth the visions of the Almighty, who falling hath his eyes opened:
