9 And the meek shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.


WOE to them that go down to Egypt for help, trusting in horses, and putting their confidence in chariots, because they me many: and in horsemen, because they me very strong: and have not trusted in the Holy One of Israel, and have not sought after the Lord.


1 Be astonished, ye rich women, be troubled, ye confident ones: strip yen, and be confounded, gird your loins.


The people that walked in darkness, have seen a great light: to them that dwelt in the region of the shadow of death, light is risen.


Shall I not visit for these things, sayeth the Lord? and shall not my soul take revenge on such a nation?


And I heard the voice of his words: and when I heard, I lay in a consternation, upon my face, and my face was close to the ground.


And from the first year of Darius the Mede I stood up that he might be strengthened and confirmed.


And he shall also carry away captive into Egypt their gods, and their graven things, and their precious vessels of gold and silver: he shall prevail against the king of the north.


1 And he shall enter into the glorious land, and many shall fall: and these only shall be saved out of his hand, Edom, and Moab, and the principality of the children of Ammon.


But they that are learned shall shine as the brightness of the firmament: and they that instruct many to justice, as stars for all eternity.


And she weaned her that was called Without mercy. And she conceived, and bore a son.


3 But go thou thy ways until the time appointed: and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot unto the end of the days.


And the Lord said to him: Call his name Jezrahel: for yet a little while, and I will visit the blood of Jezrahel upon the house of Jehu, and I will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.


5 According to his will, and craft shall be successful in his hand: and his heart shall be puffed up, and in the abundance of all things he shall kill many: and he shall rise up against the prince of princes, and shall be broken without hand.


7 And I Daniel languished, and was sick for some days: and when I was risen up, I did the king's business, and I was astonished at the vision, and there was none that could interpret it.


To thee, O Lord, justice: but to us confusion of face, as at this day to the men of Juda, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel to them that are near, and to them that are far off in all the countries whither thou hast driven them, for their iniquities by which they have sinned against thee.


2 And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.


Even so then at this present time also, there is a remnant saved according to the election of grace.


But the court, which is without the temple, cast out, and measure it not: because it is given unto the Gentiles, and the holy city they shall tread under foot two and forty months:


9 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from these things that are written in this book.


0 And hast made us to our God a kingdom and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.
