7 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to thee, and redeem thou thy sins with alms, and thy iniquities with works of mercy to the poor: perhaps he will forgive thy offences.


3 And thus he said: The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be greater than all the kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.


And the he goat became exceeding great: and when he was grown, the great horn was broken, and there came up four horns under it towards the four winds of heaven.


3 And after their reign, when iniquities shall be grown up, there shall arise a king of a shameless face, and understanding dark sentences.


5 According to his will, and craft shall be successful in his hand: and his heart shall be puffed up, and in the abundance of all things he shall kill many: and he shall rise up against the prince of princes, and shall be broken without hand.


6 And the vision of the evening and the morning, which was told, is true: thou therefore seal up the vision, because it shall come to pass after many days.


O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our princes, and to our fathers that have sinned.


In those days I Daniel mourned the days of three weeks.


2 To perform mercy to our fathers, and to remember his holy testament,


3 But woe to them that are with child, and give suck in those days; for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.


Jesus therefore said to them: Children, have you any meat? They answered him: No.


And on the seventh day the priests shall take the seven trumpets, which are used in the jubilee, and shall go before the ark of the covenant: and you shall go about the city seven times, and the priests shall sound the trumpets.


I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them that are evil, and thou hast tried them, who say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:


3 And the angel of the Lord said to Manue: From all the things I have spoken of to thy wife, let her refrain herself:


8 And depart not hence, till I return to thee, and bring a sacrifice, and offer it to thee. And he answered: I will wait thy coming.


0 And the angel of the Lord said to him: Take the flesh and the unleavened loaves, and lay them upon that rock, and pour out the broth thereon. And when he had done so,
