6 But they provoked thee to wrath, and departed from thee, and threw thy law behind their backs: and they killed thy prophets, who admonished them earnestly to return to thee : and they were guilty of great blasphemies.


Praise and beauty are before him: holiness and majesty in his sanctuary.


And Moses said to the people: Remember this day in which you came forth out of Egypt, and out of the house of bondage, for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought you forth out of this place: that you eat no leavened bread.


Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:


0 But come, and I will send thee to Pharao, that thou mayst bring forth my people, the children of Israel out of Egypt.


4 Is Israel a bondman, or a homeborn slave? why then is he become prey?


8 And I said to their children in the wilderness: Walk not in the statutes of your fathers, and observe not their judgments, nor be ye defiled with their idols:


Publish it in the houses of Azotus, and in the houses of the land of Egypt, and say: Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the many follies in the midst thereof, and them that suffer oppression in the inner rooms thereof.


5 And I will plant them upon their own land: and I will no more pluck them out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.


2 By which her rich men were filled with iniquity, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue was deceitful in their mouth.


And they said one to another: Let us appoint a captain, and let us return into Egypt.


0 Their yoke is perished from Hesebon unto Dibon, they came weary to Nophe, and unto Medaba.


8 We will not return into our houses until the children of Israel possess their inheritance:


6 Men, brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you fear God, to you the word of this salvation is sent.


0 Hath not my hand made all these things?


4 And the Amorrhite that dwelt in the mountains coming out, and meeting you, chased you, as bees do: and made slaughter of you from Seir as far as Horma.


2 The Horrhites also formerly dwelt in Seir: who being driven out and destroyed, the children of Esau dwelt there, as Israel did in the land of his possession, which the Lord gave him.


From Aroer, which is upon the bank of the torrent Amen, and in the midst of the valley and all the plains of Medaba, as far as Dibon:


3 And I gave you a land, in which you had not laboured, and cities to dwell in which you built not, vineyards and oliveyards, which you planted not.
