The bruised reed he shall not break, and smoking flax he shall not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.


3 In sinning and lying against the Lord: and we have turned away so that we went not after our God, but spoke calumny and transgression : we have conceived, and uttered from the heart, words of falsehood.


7 And I will cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, the God of hosts is his name.


2 The queen of the south shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold a greater than Solomon here.


And he answering, said to them: Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you there shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be destroyed.


5 And Jesus answering, said to him: Suffer it to be so now. For so it becometh us to fulfill all justice. Then he suffered him.


And they were both just before God, walking in all the commandments and justifications of the Lord without blame.

2 And when we were come to Syracusa, we tarried there three days.


2 At Damascus, the governor of the nation under Aretas the king, guarded the city of the Damascenes, to apprehend me.


8 And I will receive you; and I will be a Father to you; and you shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
