And when for many days we had sailed slowly, and were scarce come over against Gnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed near Crete by Salmone:


1 Paul said to the centurion, and to the soldiers: Except these stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.


And the saying was liked by all the multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith, and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch.

1 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatsoever else you do, do all to the glory of God.


0 But afterwards they cried to the Lord, and said: We have sinned, because we have forsaken the Lord, and have served Baalim and Astaroth: but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.


2 And David swore to Saul. So Saul went home: and David and his men went up into safer places.
