8 But have regard to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, O Lord my God: hear the hymn and the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee this day:


0 Let all the earth be moved at his presence : for he hath founded the world immoveable.


0 And I will give thy servants the workmen that are to cut down the trees, for their food twenty thousand cores of wheat, and as many cores of barley, and twenty thousand measures of wine, and twenty thousand measures of oil.

0 Let all thy works, O lord, praise thee: and let thy saints bless thee.


But thou hast saved us from them that afflict us : and hast put them to shame that hate us.


As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God hath founded it for ever.


7 Shew me a token for good: that they who hate me may see, and be confounded, because thou, O Lord, hast helped me and hast comforted me.


5 And thou, O Lord, art a God of compassion, and merciful, patient, and of much mercy, and true.


3 thy arm is with might. Let thy hand be strengthened, and thy right hand exalted:


5 blessed is the people that knoweth jubilation. They shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance:


1 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad, let the sea be moved, and the fulness thereof:


To cover the face of the earth that nothing thereof may appear, but that which the hail hath left may be eaten: for they shall feed upon all the trees that spring in the fields.


4 Nations rose up, and were angry: sorrows took hold on the inhabitants of Philisthiim.


2 And Moses and Aaron went forth from Pharao: and Moses cried to the Lord for the promise, which he had made to Pharao concerning the frogs.


But Pharao called Moses and Aaron and said to them: Pray ye to the Lord to take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.


6 And therefore have I raised thee, that I may shew my power in thee, and my name may be spoken of throughout all the earth.


6 Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these things: who bringeth out their host by number, and calleth them all by their names: by the greatness of his might, and strength, and power, not one of them was missing.


Who hath raised up the just one from the east, hath called him to follow him? he shall give the nations in his sight, and he shall rule over kings: he shall give them as the dust to his sword, as stubble driven by the wind, to his bow.


BEL is broken, Nebo is destroyed: their idols are put upon beasts and cattle, your burdens of heavy weight even unto weariness.


To whom have you likened me, and made me equal, and compared me, and made me like?


3 I have raised him up to justice, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and let go my captives, not for ransom, nor for presents, saith the Lord the God of hosts.


0 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the held, that you bear no more the reproach of famine among the nations.


And he led me about through them on every side: now they were very many upon the face of the plain, and they were exceeding dry.


Then a herald cried with a strong voice: To you it is commanded, O nations, tribes, and languages:


Who can stand before the face of his indignation? and who shall resist in the fierceness of his anger? his indignation is poured out like fire: and the rocks are melted by him.


9 And we abode in the valley over against the temple of Phogor.


4 So Moses came and spoke all the words of this canticle in the ears of the people, and Josue the son of Nun.


0 Keep his precepts and commandments, which I command thee: that it may be well with thee, and thy children after thee, and thou mayst remain a long time upon the land, which the Lord thy God will give thee.


4 This is the law, that Moses set before the children of Israel,


The Lord maketh poor and maketh rich, he humbleth and he exalteth.
