7 And when this was told David, he gathered all Israel together, and passed over the Jordan, and came to Helam: and the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought against him.


And David's anger being exceedingly kindled against that man, he said to Nathan: As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this is a child of death.


3 And the king said to Berzellai: Come with me that thou mayest rest secure with me in Jerusalem.


5 And the Lord will recompense me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands in the sight of his eyes.


4 And the weight of the gold that was brought to Solomon every year, was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold:


2 Either three years' famine: or three months to flee from thy enemies, and not to be able to escape their sword: or three days to have the sword of the Lord, and pestilence in the land, and the angel of the Lord destroying in all the coasts of Israel: now therefore see what I shall answer him who sent me.


3 And the weight of the gold, that was brought to Solomon every year, was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold:


And he put a new canticle into my mouth, a song to our God. Many shall see, and shall fear : and they shall hope in the Lord.


The things that were first, behold they are come: and new things do I declare: before they spring forth, I will make you head them.


2 And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord. But thou shalt be called: A city sought after, and not forsaken.


In those days shall Juda be saved, and Israel shall dwell confidently: and this is the name that they shall call him: the Lord our just one.


Of them that come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of the men whom I have slain in my wrath, and in my indignation, hiding my face from this city because of all their wickedness.


3 And Moses said to the Lord: That the Egyptians, from the midst of whom thou hast brought forth this people,


8 Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost.

And put their army in array against Israel. And when they had joined battle, Israel turned their backs to the Philistines, and there was slain in that fight here and there in the fields about four thousand men.
