6 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they grow much towards ungodliness.


But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law. For they are unprofitable and vain.


Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.


Adulterers, know you not that the friendship of this world is the enemy of God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of this world, becometh an enemy of God.


Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners: and purify your hearts, ye double minded.


2 By Sylvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I think, I have written briefly: beseeching and testifying that this is the true grace of God, wherein you stand.
